Több mint száz belgrádi iskolában volt bombariadó szerda reggel, a rendőrség ellenőrzi a helyszíneket, az oktatás a szóban forgó iskolákban vagy elmarad, vagy távoktatás formájában zajlik ezen a napon – közölte a szerbiai oktatási minisztérium.
A tárca tájékoztatása szerint szerda hajnalban 78 általános és 37 középiskola e-mail címére érkezett fenyegetés.
Az utóbbi egy év során több – később hamisnak bizonyult – bombariadó is volt a szerbiai iskolákban, a hatóságok minden esetet kivizsgáltak, ám nem hozták nyilvánosságra a nyomozás eredményeit, csak annyit közöltek: a levélírók között volt kiskorú fenyegető, de olyan is történt, hogy külföldi címről érkezett a levél.
A fenyegetéseket egyebek mellett azért is veszik komolyan, mert két héttel ezelőtt egy 13 éves, hetedikes diák az iskolájában lelőtte kilenc társát és az iskolaőrt, valamint egy tanárt és további öt diákot megsebesített. A fiú pszichiátriai megfigyelés alá került. A kormány pedig szigorú intézkedéseket jelentett be, egyebek mellett állandó rendőri felügyeletet vezetett be az ország minden oktatási intézményében.

Minimum kétszáz szülő és gyerek verekedett össze egy alternatív középiskolában az Egyesült Államokban, Louisiana állam székhelyén, Baton Rouge-ban – számoltak be a helyi hatóságok.
A tömegverekedésben egy rendőr is megsérült és kórházba került, tíz diákot pedig letartóztattak.
Casey Rayborn Hicks, helyi seriff hivatalának szóvivője elmondta, hogy a rendőrséget reggel 8 óra 15 perckor riasztották egy verekedéshez a Baton Rouge-i Readiness Superintendent’s Academy középiskolába, amely egy alternatív tanintézmény magatartási problémákkal küzdő diákok számára.

Az incidens még pénteken történt. A helikopterekről a sajtójelentések szerint egy buddhista kolostorban lévő iskolát lőttek. A gyerekek közül egyesek a levegőből leadott lövések során, mások pedig a településre behatoló csapatok támadása nyomán vesztették életüket.
Mar Mar iskolaigazgató beszámolója szerint megpróbálta a gyerekeket a földszinten biztonságos búvóhelyre vinni, miután a település fölött időző Mi-35-ös típusú harci helikopterek tüzet nyitottak gépfegyverekből. A légitámadást követően hozzávetőleg nyolcvan katona érkezett a településre, majd kiparancsolták az embereket az iskolából. Mar Mar körülbelül harminc sebesült diákot látott, akik közül egyesek elvesztették valamely végtagjukat is. Hozzátette, hogy a katonák felégettek egy épületet, és több mint húsz embert magukkal vittek, köztük kilenc sebesült gyereket, három tanárt és további két személyt, akiket azzal vádoltak, hogy lázadók.
Az iskolában Mar Mar mellett húsz önkéntes tanít mintegy 240 diákot.
A hadsereg közleményben vádolta a terrorszervezetnek nyilvánított Kacsin Függetlenségi Hadsereget (KIA) és a katonai vezetést ellenzőkből létrejött Népvédelmi Erőket (PDF), hogy a kolostorban bujkálnak harcosaik, a települést pedig a térségbéli fegyverszállításokra használják.
