Egy terepjáró csütörtökön összeütközött egy turistabuszsal az idahoi Yellowstone Nemzeti Park közelében, a tragédia következtében heten életüket vesztették, nyolcan pedig megsérültek – számolt be róla az AP News-ra hivatkozva a hirado.hu. A baleset körülményeit a hatóságok még vizsgálják.
A rendőrség hivatalos közleménye szerint a baleset a reggeli órákban történt, amikor a nemzeti parktól 26 kilométerre lévő főúton egy Dodge Ram pickup terepjáró karambolozott egy turistabuszként használt Mercedes furgonnal.
A rendőrség szerint mindkét jármű teljesen kiégett, a furgonban pedig hatan meghaltak.
A helyszínre több mentőhelikopter és a sürgősségi mentős is érkezett, melyekről több felvételt is feltöltöttek a közösségi médiába.
Az egyik videón az látszik, ahogy a tűzoltók küzdenek a lángokkal, hogy a Mercedes furgonban keletkezett tüzet eloltsák.
A nyomozás még tart, a hatóságok egyelőre nem hozták nyilvánosságra az áldozatok névsorát, ugyanakkor zajlik az érintettek hozzátartozóinak felkeresése és tájékoztatása.

Négy ember meghalt, többen pedig súlyos sérüléseket szenvedtek egy tragikus balesetben az alsó-ausztriai Scheiblingkirchen térségében kedd reggel. Peter Luef, a pitteni tűzoltóság parancsnoka azt nyilatkozta, ilyet még soha nem tapasztalt pályafutása során.
Johann Baumschlager rendőrségi szóvivő szerint két személyt szállító teherautó éppen elhagyott egy parkolót, amikor egy kisbusz teljes erővel belerohant a járműbe.
A kisbuszban nyolc ukrán állampolgár tartózkodott. Közülük négyen meghaltak a tragikus balesetben, a többi utas súlyos sérüléseket szenvedett. Mind a négy halálos áldozat nő. A rendőrség kizárta a csempészés és az üldözés lehetőségét.
Az ukrán túlélők és halálos áldozatok kisbuszból való kimentése különösen nehéz feladat elé állította a pitteni és az edlitzi önkéntes tűzoltókat.
A tűzoltóság közlése szerint az utasok az ütközés következtében beszorultak, és a mentőegységeknek nagy nehézségek árán kellett kiszabadítaniuk őket.
A mentési művelet a mentőszolgálat számára sem volt egyszerű: Amikor halottakon kell átmászni, hogy az élőkhöz odajussunk, az elképzelhetetlenül tragikus – mondta Peter Luef, a pitteni tűzoltóság főfelügyelője a Krone című újságnak.

A baleset helyi idő szerint hétfőn délben történt a latin-amerikai ország délnyugati részén fekvő Potosí hegyvidéki település közelében.
Az újság a rendőrségre hivatkozva azt írta, hogy 28 ember meghalt és 14 megsérült, amikor a Potosítól északnyugatra fekvő Oruroba városba tartó busz egy kanyarban letért az útról és mintegy 800 méteres mélységbe zuhant.

Február 6-án, csütörtök reggel a Dnyipropetrovszk megyei Nyikopoli járásban egy busz fának csapódott, miután a sofőr valószínűleg elvesztette uralmát a jármű felett. A balesetben a vezető és 13 utas megsérült – jelentette a Szabadság Rádió ukrán nyelvű hírszolgálata a Rendkívüli Helyzetek Állami Szolgálatának (DSZNSZ) tájékoztatása alapján.
A közlekedési baleset az N-23-as országúton történt, a Nyikopoli járási Olekszijivka községtől nem messze – számolt be a Kárpátalja hetilap online változata.
A helyszínre érkező katasztrófaelhárítók megállapították, hogy a vállalati dolgozókat szállító Paz 4234-es autóbusz sofőrje valószínűleg elvesztette uralmát a jármű felett, és nem tudta elkerülni, hogy fának ütközzön
– áll a DSZNSZ jelentésében.
A katasztrófaelhárítók speciális eszközeik segítségével kiszabadították az autóbusz roncsai közül a járművezetőt, és átadták a mentősöknek, akik kórházba szállították.
