Az ENSZ Emberi Jogi Főbiztosának hivatala hangsúlyozta, hogy a valós halálos áldozatok száma sokkal magasabb, mivel egyes helyekről, ahol harcok zajlanak, késve érkezik be az információ, és sok jelentést még meg kell erősíteni.

A szervezetnél megjegyezték, hogy a nyilvántartott polgári áldozatok többségét nagy hatótávolságú fegyverek, köztük nehéztüzérség lövedékei és rakétavető, valamint rakéta- és légitámadások okozták.
Amint arról a hivatal korábban beszámolt, a teljes körű invázió kezdete óta az Oroszországi Föderáció csapatai 455 gyermeket öltek meg Ukrajnában, további 897 gyermek pedig megsebesült.

Legkevesebb 131 civilt gyilkoltak meg az M23 nevű felkelőcsoport fegyveresei a Kongói Demokratikus Köztársaság keleti részén november 29-én és 30-án – derült ki a helyi ENSZ-misszió előzetes nyomozásának csütörtökre virradóra nyilvánosságra hozott eredményéből.
Az ENSZ szerint ezek a tömeggyilkosságok az Észak-Kivu tartományban található Kishishe és a szomszédos Bambo faluban történtek. Összesen 102 férfi, 17 nő és 12 gyermek vesztette életét a Március 23-a Mozgalom (M23) vérengzéseiben. További nyolc ember megsebesült és hatvanat túszul ejtettek. Legalább huszonkét nőt és öt lányt megerőszakoltak.
A kongói hatóságok hétfőn még azt mondták, hogy Kishishében háromszázan haltak meg.

Az ENSZ Emberi Jogi Főbiztosának Hivatala október 18-ig 15 956 polgári áldozatot regisztrált: több mint 6 300 személy vesztette életét és közel 10 ezren sebesültek meg, közölte Rosemary DiCarlo, az ENSZ politikai kérdésekért felelős főtitkár-helyettese a szervezet Biztonsági Tanácsának ülésén – tájékoztatott az Ukrinform.
2022. február 24. óta 397 gyermek halt meg. A valós számok azonban jóval magasabbak lehetnek.
DiCarlo megjegyezte, hogy október 10. és 18. között legkevesebb 38 civil halt meg és 117-en sérültek meg a rakétatámadások és drónok bevetése következtében. A kritikus energetikai infrastruktúra lerombolása komoly aggodalomra ad okot. Október 10. óta az energetikai létesítményekben keletkezett károk, a szén árának emelkedése a polgári lakosság millióit sodorta „súlyos helyzetbe”, ami „akár életveszélyes körülményeket is teremthet”.
„Valós okunk van arra következtetni, hogy Ukrajnában háborús bűnöket, valamint az emberi jogok és a nemzetközi humanitárius jog megsértését követték el” – tette hozzá.
Dicarlo megjegyezte, hogy október 19-én a fekete-tengeri kezdeményezés keretében exportált gabona és egyéb élelmiszertermékek teljes mennyisége elérte a közel 8 millió tonnát, egyben a gabonamegállapodás meghosszabbítása mellett foglalt állást, amely november 22-ig van hatályban.
„Az élelmezésbiztonság fenntartása érdekében kulcsfontosságú, hogy ez a kezdeményezés folytatódjon” – mondta DiCarlo.

A minap beszámoltunk arról, miszerint tragikus rakétatámadás érte Zaporizzsját, a rakéta egy civil humanitárius konvojt ért.
„Az ellenség civil humanitárius konvojra mért támadást a megyeszékhely határán. Az emberek azért álltak sorban, hogy az ideiglenesen megszállt területre jussanak, s kihozzák családtagjaikat” – közölte Olekszandr Sztaruh, a megyei katonai adminisztráció vezetője.
