Mintegy 25 szunnita muszlim tüntetett az Egyesült Királyságban, Blackburn városában a hétvégén, amiért az egyik helyi filmszínház le akart vetíteni egy Mohamed próféta leányát ábrázoló filmet, amely a bírálói szerint „szélsőséges síita perspektívából” ábrázolja Fatimát – adta hírül a Breitbart című amerikai lap hírportálja.
Az Eli King által 2021-ben rendezett, Lady of Heaven (A Mennyország úrnője) című filmet – amelynek forgatókönyvét a keményvonalasnak tartott, az iráni rendszerrel is szembenálló kuvaiti síita vallástudós, Jászir al-Habíb írta – egyébként Iránban betiltották.
Sokan már korábban aggodalmuknak adtak hangot, hogy a film feszültséget kelthet a szunnita és a síita muszlimok között.
A tüntetés egyik szervezője a sajtónak elmondta: a blackburni mozi a tiltakozás nyomán levette a filmet a kínálatáról, a filmszínház vezetősége azonban ezt nem erősítette meg.
A brit Lancashire Telegraph című helyi lap jelentése szerint több brit településen rendeztek tüntetést a film bemutatása ellen. A filmet – a brit The Guardian című lap információi szerint – több muszlim országban is betiltották.
A filmet egyebek között azért is bírálatok érték, mert a negatív szerepeket mind feketebőrű színészekre osztották.

Napok óta tartanak a zavargások Svédország több nagyvárosában, amelyeket az váltott ki, hogy csütörtökön és pénteken nyilvános Korán-égetéseket tartott egy dán bevándorlásellenes politikus Svédország több pontján, írja a Magyar Nemzet.
A keleti Norrköpingben három ember sérült meg vasárnap, miután a rendőrség figyelmeztető lövéseket adott le. A hatóság szerint nem a rájuk támadó és köveket dobáló randalírozókat akarták célba venni, de a lövések gellert kaptak.
A zavargások résztvevői számos autót felgyújtottak, a rendőrség tizenhét ember őrizetbe vett.
A Norrköpinghez közeli Linköpingben is zavargások törtek ki, a videófelvételeken látszik, ahogy csuklyát viselő, arcukat maszkkal eltakaró fiatal férfiak támadnak rá a rendőrökre.
Itt a főleg bevándorlók lakta Skaggetorp negyedben tervezett nyilvános Korán-égetéseket a szélsőjobboldali Rasmus Paludan, ám terve meghiúsult a rendőrök és a tüntetők között kitört összecsapások miatt.

Az aktivista közölte, a vasárnapi norrköpingi és linköpingi akcióit kénytelen volt lemondani, mert „a rendőrök nemhogy engem, de még magukat sem képesek megvédeni”. A hatóságok egyébként engedélyt adtak Paludannak, hogy tartsa meg Korán-égetési rendezvényeit.
Sem az eseményekről tudósító nyugati hírügynökségek, sem a rendőrség nem tett említést arról, hogy a rendőrökre támadók főleg a Korán-égetések ellen tüntető bevándorlók, pedig a videófelvételek tanúsága szerint többször is egyértelműen azt kiáltják: „Allah akbar”, ami arabul annyit tesz: Isten a legnagyobb! Az Exxpress című osztrák hírportál szerint muszlim migránscsoportokról van szó.
A fővárosban, Stockholmban, illetve az ország harmadik legnagyobb városában, a déli Malmőben, és további településeken is zavargások törtek ki, gépjárműveket gyújtott fel és a rendőrökre támadt a feldühödött tömeg.
Ezek mind olyan városok voltak, ahol a szélsőjobboldali csoport elégette az iszlám szent könyvét, a Koránt, vagy csak ilyen akciót hirdetett meg és tervezett végrehajtani. Anders Thornberg országos rendőrfőkapitány szerint a tüntetőket láthatóan nem érdekli a rendőrök testi épsége.
Több tucat rendfenntartó sérült meg az elmúlt napokban. Láttunk már erőszakos zavargásokat, de ez valami egészen más – tette hozzá.

A kormányzat képtelen megérteni a bandabűnözés problémakörét, ezért Svédország gengszterparadicsommá vált – mondta ezzel kapcsolatban Lasse Wierup, az egyik legismertebb svéd bűnügyi újságíró.
