Ezzel nyolcra emelkedett az orosz támadás kezdte óta Ukrajnában megölt újságírók száma – tudatta kedden a párizsi vádhatóság.
„Frédéric Leclerc-Imhoff újságíróként volt Ukrajnában azért, hogy megmutassa a háború valóságát. Az orosz bombák elöl menekülni kényszerülő civilekkel utazott egy humanitárius buszon, amikor halálosan megsebesült” – jelentette be hétfőn a Twitteren Emmanuel Macron francia államfő a tudósító halálhírét.
A legnézettebb francia hírtelevízió, a BFM 32 éves tudósítója hat éve dolgozott a csatornánál, ez volt a második riportútja Ukrajnában.
Catherine Colonna külügyminiszter szintén a Twitteren erősítette meg, hogy a riporter a humanitárius művelet ellen indított orosz bombázásban vesztette életét, „miközben tájékoztatási munkáját végezte”.
A tárcavezető „átlátható vizsgálatot követel a lehető leggyorsabban a tragédia körülményeinek feltárására”. Catherine Colonna az AFP francia hírügynökségnek jelezte: azt kérte Volodimir Zelenszkij ukrán elnöktől, hogy „tegyen meg minden tőle telhetőt, hogy az ukrán hatóságok segítsenek, és lehetővé tegyék az újságíró holttestének hazajuttatását a családjához, a lehető leggyorsabban”.
A luhanszki régió vezetése a Telegram-csatornáján azt közölte, hogy Frédéric Leclerc-Imhoff védősisakot viselt és a nyakánál sérült meg. A BFM hírtévé információi szerint a riporter „lövedékdarabtól” sebesült meg. A stáb másik tagja, Maxime Brandstaetter könnyebben megsérült a támadásban, az ő evakuálását már szervezi a televíziós csatorna.
A francia terrorelhárítási ügyészség a fegyveres harcokban egy, a nemzetközi jog által védett személy életének szándékos veszélyeztetése, a konfliktusban közvetlenül nem érintett emberek elleni szándékos támadás, valamint humanitárius küldetés keretében használt jármű, és az abban utazók elleni szándékos támadás gyanújával indított eljárást.

Mexikó továbbra is a legveszélyesebb helynek számít a nyugati féltekén az újságírók számára, mivel 2018 decembere óta 52 újságírót vagy médiamunkást öltek meg, ebből pedig 7 személy védelmi programba volt bejegyezve.
A támadás egy nappal azután történt, hogy a sajtócsoportok több mint 12 tüntetést tartottak Mexikó-szerte, hogy tiltakozzanak a gyilkosságok ellen, mivel év eleje óta három újságírót meggyilkoltak. Jose Ignacio Santiago, egy online hírportál igazgatója elmondta, hogy csak hajszál híján menekült meg, amikor szerdán Oaxaca államban egy vidéki országúton egy fegyveres támadókat szállító autó megpróbálta elvágni a járműve útját.
Mivel 2017-ben egy banda elrabolta, az újságírók védelmét szolgáló kormányzati program keretében testőröket rendeltek Santiago mellé. Elmondása szerint most csak azért sikerült elmenekülnie, mert a két testőr mellette volt, egyikük épp az autót vezette, és szerencsésen ki tudták kerülni a támadókat.
Azok tüzet nyitottak, amikor meglátták az újságíró menekülő autóját, azonban Santiago sérülés nélkül megúszta az esetet. A férfi egy távoli triqui indián területen készített videofelvételeket, és ez feldühíthette a régió ellenőrzéséért küzdő egyik csoportot, ami a végül a támadáshoz vezetett.
Az Al Jazeera cikkéből kiderül, hogy sajnálatos módon az újságírók elleni támadások száma ebben a hónapban jelentősen megugrott, január 10-én José Luis Gamboa riportert ölték meg, 17-én Margarito Martínez bűnügyi fotóst az otthona előtt lőtték le, 23-án pedig Lourdes Maldonado López riportert az autójában agyonlőve találták meg.
Laura Sanchez, Mexikóban élő újságíró szerint nevetséges a kormányprogram, amely az újságírók védelmét hivatott szolgálni, mivel a nekik átadott pánikgomb használhatatlan, hiszen egy korrupt önkormányzati rendőrfelügyelő számát tartalmazza.

A napokban beszámoltunk arról, hogy Ungváron felgyújtották egy helyi újságíró járművét. Az Ukrán Biztonsági Szolgálat és a nemzeti rendőrség azonosította a tettest.
Az információk szerint az elkövető egy büntetett életű helyi lakos. A tűz teljesen megsemmisítette a férfi gépkocsiját, valamint kárt tett a mellette parkoló autóban is, mely a sajtóban megjelent hírek alapján a feleségéé volt. A bűncselekmény indítéka a sértett tartozása volt.
Az ügyben folyik a büntetőeljárás, a vizsgálatok jelenleg is tartanak.

Négy év és három hónap letöltendő börtönbüntetésre ítélték első fokon Belgrád egyik külvárosának polgármesterét kedden, mert a gyanú szerint parancsot adott egy helyi újságíró zaklatására és házának felgyújtására – közölte a szerbiai közszolgálati televízió (RTS).
Dragoljub Simonovicot azért ítélték el, mert bizonyítást nyert, hogy 2018 decemberében felgyújttatta Milan Jovanovic oknyomozó újságíró házát. Jovanovic házára akkor dobtak Molotov-koktélt, amikor feleségével együtt otthon tartózkodott. A házaspár az ablakon keresztül tudott kimenekülni. Az újságíró korábban többször is jelezte, hogy bántalmazták, mert korrupciós ügyeket tárt fel, amelyek összefüggésbe hozhatók a volt polgármesterrel.
A gyújtogatás elkövetőjét, Aleksandar Marinkovicot távollétében szintén négy év és három hónap börtönbüntetésre ítélték.
Az ítélethirdetést követően Milan Jovanovic újságíróknak azt mondta: elégedett az ítélettel és az igazságszolgáltatás munkájával. Szerinte az ítélet reményt jelent a jövőre nézve a szabad újságírás számára.
Dragoljub Simonovicot 2019 januárjában fogták el. Aleksandar Vucic államfő, a kormányzó Szerb Haladó Párt elnöke akkor arról beszélt, hogy noha a polgármester a Szerb Haladó Párt tagja, a párttagság senkit sem védhet meg a felelősségre vonás alól.
Nemzetközi szervezetek többször figyelmeztettek arra, hogy Szerbiában nem szabad a sajtó, és az újságírókat gyakran érik támadások munkájuk miatt.

Civil ruhás emberek támadtak kedden a BBC orosz nyelvű szolgálatának újságíróira a fehérorosz fővárosban, Minszkben.
Az esetről a hírportál számolt be. Azt írták, feketeruhás férfiak egy csoportja közelítette meg az újságírókat, akiktől akkreditációjukat követelték. Amikor bemutatták a nyakba akasztható igazolványukat az egyik feketeruhás letépte a dokumentumot az újságíró nyakáról. Egy másik mozdulattal pedig kiragadta a kamerát az operatőr kezéből, és megpróbálta összetörni. Az operatőrt megütötték, és ütéseket mértek a kamerájára is.
A BBC orosz szolgálata mindhárom újságírójának a fehérorosz belügyminisztérium adta ki a helyi működési engedélyt, az újságírók emellett sajtó feliratú mellényt viseltek. A fehérorosz fővárosban orosz és lengyel újságírókat is értek „nehezen magyarázható hatósági intézkedések”.
Fehéroroszországban vasárnap tartottak elnökválasztást, ahol az exit poll eredmények ismertetése után tiltakozások és összecsapások kezdődtek.
Az ellenzék szerint a 26 éve hivatalban lévő államfő, Aljakszandr Lukasenka, aki a hivatalos adatok szerint a szavazatok több mint 80 százalékát kapta, elcsalta a választást. A megmozdulások hétfőn és kedden is folytatódtak. Az összecsapásokban legkevesebb egy ember meghalt, és több százan megsérültek. Sajtójelentések szerint mintegy háromezer embert őrizetbe vettek.
A fehérorosz állami választási bizottság előzetes eredményei szerint Aljakszandr Lukasenka hivatalban lévő államfő 80,08 százalékot, míg Szvjatlana Cihanouszkaja ellenzéki elnökjelölt 10,9 százalékot szerzett az elnökválasztáson.

Ismeretlenek golyózáport zúdítottak egy újság szerkesztőségének épületére kedden Mexikóban, két nappal azután, hogy merénylet áldozata le egy újságíró és testőre, írja az MTI.
A mexikói ügyészség közlése szerint a támadás a Diario de Iguala című lapot érte, ám egyetlen munkatársa sem sérült meg, mivel az irodákban senki sem dolgozott a koronavírus-járvány miatt. A lap nyilatkozatban közölte, hogy nem közöl cikkeket bűntettekről és erőszakról, olyan témákról, amelyek kiváltják bűnbandák haragját.
A két nappal korábban egy étteremben agyonlőtt újságíró nem ennél a lapnál dolgozott, hanem egy internetes kiadványnál.
Határozottan elítéljük a Diario de Iguala elleni támadást. A szólásszabadság és a társadalmi béke biztosítása Mexikó kormányának elsőrendű feladata – írta a Twitteren Olga Sanchez Cordero, Mexikó belügyminisztere.

A romániai szervezett bűnözés és terrorizmus elleni ügyészség (DIICOT) közölte, hogy nyomozást indított egy temesvári alvilági vezető és társa ellen, akik azt tervezték, hogy fegyverrel hallgattatják el Dragos Bota temesvári újságírót.
Az ügyről az Agerpres hírügynökség számolt be pénteken.
Dragos Bota a Pressalert.ro temesvári hírportál főszerkesztője az elmúlt években több cikkben is foglalkozott azzal, hogy a temesvári alvilág milyen kapcsolatokat épített ki a helyi önkormányzat hivatalaiban. Tavaly szeptemberben arról is beszámolt, hogy a helyi alvilág vezetőjeként leírt személyt, BLA-t is kihallgatta a DIICOT egy kábítószer-kereskedő hálózat felgöngyölítésekor.
A cikk megjelenésének másnapján BLA egy Temesvárhoz közeli vendéglőben találkozott több emberrel, s egyiküket arra kérte, hogy ölje meg az újságírót, ehhez pedig egy pisztolyt adott neki. Azt ígérte az illetőnek, hogy ha végrehajtja a gyilkosságot, bőséges jutalmat kap.
Még aznap BLA megbízásából hárman felderítő útra indultak abba a városrészbe, ahol tudomásuk szerint az újságíró lakott, de egy olyan gépkocsit láttak a környéken, amelyikről azt gondolták, hogy a rendőrségé. Lefotózták a gépkocsit és a képet elküldték egy rendőrségi kapcsolatuknak.
Az újságíró-gyilkosságra készülő bandát később ez a rendőr figyelmeztette arra, hogy lépéseiket a hatóságok figyelik.
A DIICOT közölte: szervezett bűnözői csoport létrehozása, gyilkosságra való felbujtás és a fegyverekre vonatkozó törvények megsértése miatt indult nyomozás az ügy két gyanúsítottja ellen, és vizsgálatot indítottak a bűnözői csoporttal kapcsolatban álló rendőr ellen is, akit az igazságszolgáltatás érdekeinek meghiúsításával gyanúsítanak.
A Pressalert.ro portál közölte: a Temes megyei törvényszék elrendelte a két gyanúsított alvilági személy újbóli letartóztatását. Ők korábban kábítószer-kereskedelem gyanúja miatt voltak előzetes letartóztatásban, de ezt idő közben hatósági felügyeletre enyhítették.

Huszonhárom év fegyházban letöltendő szabadságvesztésre ítélte a bazini székhelyű különleges bíróság M. Miroslavot, Ján Kuciak szlovák oknyomozó újságíró és barátnője két évvel ezelőtti, nagy botrányt és politikai viharokat is kiváltó meggyilkolása és egy további emberölés miatt hétfőn.
Juraj Novocky, az ügyben eljáró különleges ügyész – a TASR szlovák közszolgálati hírügynökség beszámolója szerint – azért nem életfogytiglani, hanem 25 éves szabadságvesztés büntetés kiszabását kérte, mert a vádlott bevallotta a bűncselekményeket, és a törvényszéki szakértők szerint az ő esetében nem lehet teljesen kizárni annak a lehetőségét, hogy visszailleszkedjen a társadalomba.
A bíróság viszont hétfőn ennél is enyhébb, 23 évi fegyházbüntetést szabott ki tekintettel arra, hogy a vádlott együttműködött a hatóságokkal. Az ügyész az ítélethirdetést követően fellebbezést nyújtott be a kiszabott büntetés mértéke miatt, amit azzal indokolt, hogy nem teljesültek a büntetés csökkentéséhez szükséges feltételek. Az ítélet így nem jogerős, és a büntetés mértékéről a legfelsőbb bíróság dönt majd.
A záróbeszédek során Miroslav M. védője a bíróságra hagyta az igazságos ítélet kiszabását. A meggyilkolt újságíró családjának jogi képviselője, Daniel Lipsic volt igazságügyminiszter úgy vélekedett: az ítélet révén ösztönözni kell az együttműködésre a jövőbeni vádlottakat és a kiszabott ítéletet igazságosnak minősítette.
Martina Kusnírová – Ján Kuciak újságíró ugyancsak meggyilkolt barátnője – családjának jogi képviselője, a több közismert peres ügyből jól ismert Roman Kvasnica viszont az életfogytiglani büntetés kiszabása mellett foglalt állást, mégpedig annak elrettentő hatására hivatkozva, az ítéletre reagálva azt mondta: megvárják a legfelsőbb bíróság döntését.
A nagy botrányt és belpolitikai viharokat is kiváltó, két évvel ezelőtti újságíró-gyilkosság bűnvádi perének főtárgyalása januárban kezdődött. A vádlottak között van még a vádirat szerint a gyilkosság elkövetésében segédkező Sz. Tamás, a bűncselekmény megrendelésében közvetítő Zs. Alena, valamint a gyilkosság megrendelésével vádolt K. Marián nagyvállalkozó (mindhárman tagadják bűnösségüket), illetve a már decemberben egy külön perben 15 év szabadságvesztésre ítélt Andruskó Zoltán, aki ugyancsak közvetítői szerepet játszott a bűntényben. A most elítélt M. Miroslav januárban vallotta be a gyilkosságok elkövetését, így ügyét februártól külön tárgyalták tovább.
A vádirat szerint K. Marián azért határozta el Ján Kuciak megöletését, mert az újságíró több írást közölt az ő – a cikkek szerint bűnös – gazdasági tevékenységéről. A vád szerint a nagyvállalkozó 2017 végén rendelte meg a gyilkosságot Zs. Alenánál, aki ezután megkereste Andruskó Zoltánt. Ez utóbbinak 20 ezer eurós adóssága elengedését ígérte, akárcsak 50 ezer eurót az újságíró haláláért.

A múlt év során 75 újságírók elleni fizikai
támadást regisztráltak hivatalosan Ukrajnában, szemben a 2018-ban történt 86
hasonló esettel – közölte csütörtökön az Ukrán Újságírók Nemzeti Szövetségének
sajtószolgálata.
A jelentés szerint a legtöbb, szám szerint 10 támadás decemberben, 8 márciusban és 6 augusztusban történt. A rendvédelmi szervek nem fordítottak kellő figyelmet a médiamunkatársak elleni atrocitások kinyomozására, a legtöbb ilyen bűncselekmény feltáratlan maradt és nem került bírósági szakaszba a vizsgálat – közölte az unn.com.ua hírportál.
Szakértők szerint a múlt
évi újságírók elleni támadásokat különös kegyetlenség és agresszió jellemezte.
A Cserkaszi központjában megtámadott Vadim Komarov oknyomozó újságíró belehalt
sérüléseibe, 2019-ben ő volt Európában a második médiamunkatárs, akit hivatása
gyakorlása miatt öltek meg. Az újságírókat 12 esetben állami tisztségviselők,
vezetők és képviselők, 5-ször pedig rendvédelmi munkatársak részéről érte
támadás, míg 3 esetben fegyvert is használtak ellenük. A legtöbb, 29 incidens
Kijevben és környékén, 11 pedig Odessza megyében történt. A 2017–2019-es
időszakban összességében 250 esetben alkalmaztak fizikai erőszakot újságírók
ellen.
