India Madhya Prades államában meghalt az első, az új Delta Plusz koronavírus törzzsel megfertőződött beteg – számolt be az Ukrinform az The Indian Express-re hivatkozva.
Az államban összesen öt megerősített Delta Plusz koronavírus fertőzéses esetet regisztráltak. A helyi hatóságok adatai szerint négy beteg meggyógyult. Az új törzset aggályosnak nyilvánította az indiai kormány.
„Eddig a Delta Plusz törzs fertőzés öt esetét azonosították az államban. Egy beteg meghalt. A hatóságok a helyzet megoldásának tervén dolgozik” – mondta Vishwas Sarang, az állam minisztere.

A koronavírus indiai törzse, amely a többinél is veszélyesebb, hamarosan megjelenik Ukrajnában –nyilatkozta Makszim Sztepanov egészségügyi miniszter Ukrajina 24 adásában.
„Mondhatjuk, hogy biztosan megjelenik. Ez a valóság, és el kell mondani az igazat. Már a szomszédos országokban regisztrálták: Csehországban, Lengyelországban és Romániában. És így egyértelmű, hogy végül Ukrajnában is meg fog jelenni, mint a brit vagy dél-afrikai törzs esetében volt” – mondta.
A miniszter szavai szerint az indiai törzs meglehetősen nehéz, és a fiatal korosztályt fertőzi többnyire.
„Eléggé agresszív, fertőzőbb, meglehetősen összetett klinikai képet okoz, a belső szerveket károsítja, többek között a gyomrot, a vesét. Többnyire a fiatal korosztályt érinti, ami nagyon kellemetlen” – mondta Sztepanov.
A miniszter elmondása szerint egyelőre nem lehet tudni, milyen koronavírus mutánsok kialakulása fordulhat elő, ezért fel kell készülnünk a legrosszabbra is.
„Fel kell készülnünk a legrosszabb változatokra, hogy megvédhessük magunkat” – mondta a miniszter.
