 A kerületi ügyészség elmondta, hogy nyomozást indítottak a tragikus esemény pontos körülményeinek feltárása érdekében. Az ügyészség úgy döntött, hogy elkéri az iratokat a kórház különböző osztályaitól, tanúkihallgatást végez, valamint igazságügyi orvosszakértői vizsgálatot rendelt el. Az eljárás szerint szakértői csoportot hoztak létre, amely az orvosi dokumentációt az orvosok intézkedéseinek helyessége szempontjából tanulmányozza.
 Az 1995-ös születésű fiatal nőt december 11-én szállították kórházba, császármetszést végeztek el rajta, állapota folyamatosan romlott, december 13-án pedig életét vesztette. Gyermeke életét sikerült megmenteni.
