A húszik szóvivője azt állítja, hogy nem keletkezett anyagi kár, és sérültje sem volt az éjszakai amerikai támadásnak. A lázadók továbbra is megakadályozzák az izraeli kötődésű hajók áthaladását a Vörös-tengeren és az Arab-tengeren.
Az amerikai hadsereg péntek éjszaka csapást mért egy húszi radarállomásra Jemenben – jelentette be szombaton az amerikai fegyveres erők központi parancsnoksága (Centcom). A húszik szóvivője szerint nem okozott anyagi károkat, és sérültje sem volt a támadásnak.
A Centcom közleménye szerint a célpontot a USS Carney rombolóról indított Tomahawk rakétákkal semmisítették meg, amivel meggyengült a húszik képessége, hogy tengeri hajókat, köztük kereskedelmi hajókat támadhassanak meg.
Tavaly november 19. óta a húszik 28 alkalommal indítottak támadást hajók ellen a Vörös-tengeren és az Ádeni-öbölben – emlékeztet a közlemény.
Az éjszakai amerikai támadásnak nincs halálos áldozata, senki sem sérült meg, és anyagi kár sem keletkezett – közölte Mohammed Abdusszalám, az Irán által támogatott jemeni húszi lázadók szóvivője, aki egyben „erős és hatékony” választ ígért.
Előző nap a brit és az amerikai fegyveres erők célzott csapásokat mértek a húszik állásaira. Az erről szóló közös közlemény rámutatott arra, hogy a sorozatos figyelmeztetések ellenére a húszik jogsértő, veszélyes és destabilizáló támadásokat hajtottak végre a Vörös-tengeren közlekedő hajók ellen, ezért önvédelmi lépés volt a brit–amerikai támadás.
Az amerikai csapás után a húszik szóvivője a Reutersnek úgy nyilatkozott, hogy nem gyakoroltak jelentős hatást a húszik azon képességére, hogy továbbra is megakadályozzák az izraeli kötődésű hajók áthaladását a Vörös-tengeren és az Arab-tengeren.

A jemeni húszi lázadók által indított felfegyverzett, legénység nélküli vízi jármű robbant fel néhány mérföldre a Vörös-tengeren közlekedő amerikai hadihajóktól és kereskedelmi hajóktól – közölte csütörtökön az amerikai haditengerészet közel-keleti műveleteinek parancsnoka.
Brad Cooper altengernagy ugyanakkor arra nem tért ki, hogy a víz felszínén közlekedő távirányított hajó megsemmisülését hiba okozta-e, vagy az amerikai erők lőtték-e ki.
Hozzátette, hogy most első alkalommal vetettek be az Irán támogatását élvező húszik ilyen katonai eszközt, vagyis USV-t (unmanned surface vessel), amióta november közepén elkezdték a jemeni partok közelében hajózó kereskedelmi hajók elleni támadásokat.
Az amerikai haditengerészet közel-keleti parancsnoka felhívta a figyelmet arra is, hogy a vízi támadást alig néhány órával azután követték el, hogy az Egyesült Államok és 12 szövetségese súlyos következményeket kilátásba helyezve határozott figyelmeztetést intézett a jemeni felkelőkhöz, hogy hagyjanak fel a hajózás biztonságát veszélyeztető akciókkal.
Az Egyesült Államok és szövetségeseinek szerdán kiadott közleménye szóba került a Fehér Ház csütörtöki sajtótájékoztatóján is, ahol John Kirby nemzetbiztonsági szóvivő úgy fogalmazott, hogy a felszólítás egyértelmű volt.
Hangsúlyozta, nagyon komolyan veszik a húszik által elkövetett támadásokat, és azt hangoztatta, hogy a megvédik az amerikai érdekeket.
Arra a kérdésre John Kirby nem válaszolt, hogy közvetlenül a jemeni állások támadása felmerülhet-e következményként, illetve, hogy az Egyesült Államok milyen lehetséges lépéseket fontolgat.
A fehér házi illetékes ugyanakkor azt hangoztatta, hogy a jemeni húszik a történtekért viselni fogják a felelősséget.

Egy amerikai romboló szombaton megsemmisített két, Jemenből indított hajó elleni ballisztikus rakétát, amikor a térségben egy támadásban eltalált konténerhajó vészjelzésére reagált – közölte a hadsereg.
A rakétákat az Iránhoz közel álló húszi lázadók által ellenőrzött területről indították – közölte az Egyesült Államok közel-keleti regionális parancsnoksága (Centcom) a közösségi oldalakon.
A Centcom tájékoztatása szerint a Gravely és a Laboon amerikai romboló sietett a Maersk Hangzhou – egy Szingapúr lobogója alatt hajózó dán konténerszállító hajó – segítségére, amely közölte, hogy rakéta találta el a Vörös-tengeren. A mentőakció során a Gravely megsemmisítette a támadó rakétákat.

A jemeni húszi lázadók saját keddi közlésük szerint újabb kereskedelmi hajót támadtak meg a Vörös-tengeren.
Jahja Szaría, a síita lázadók szóvivője szerint a United nevű kereskedelmi hajó legénysége három figyelmeztetést is figyelmen kívül hagyott, ami miatt rakétákkal intéztek támadást ellene.
A hajót üzemeltető MSC vállalat megerősítette, hogy támadás érte a Szaúd-Arábiából Pakisztánba tartó konténerszállító hajót.
„Jelenleg a teljes legénység biztonságban van, nincsenek sebesültek és a hajó teljes átvizsgálása zajlik” – ismertette a cég.
A gázai övezeti háború kirobbanása óta a teheráni vezetés hátszelét élvező jemeni húszi lázadók fokozták támadásaikat kereskedelmi és hadihajók ellen a Vörös-tengeren. A húszik a Gázai övezet elleni izraeli hadművelet leállítását követelik.
Az amerikai hírszerzés mindemellett azt állítja, hogy Irán áll a támadás hátterében, amelyek megzavarták a világ egyik legforgalmasabb hajózási útvonalán, a Szuezi-csatornán keresztüli kereskedelmi forgalmat.
Szaría közölte azt is, hogy drónokkal támadták a dél-izraeli Eilat városát és „más térségeket a megszállt Palesztina területén”.
Az egyiptomi hadsereg a nap folyamán közölte, hogy lelőttek egy drónt a Vörös-tenger partján található Dahab városának közelében. Izrael hasonló bejelentést tett egy ellenséges objektumról szintén a Vörös-tenger térségében.

Az amerikai haditengerészet X-en tett közzé egy videót, amelyen az USS Carney rakétaindításai láthatóak, a Vörös-tengeren.
A jemeni húszi lázadók ballisztikus rakétáik, illetve drónjaik segítségével zaklatják a Vörös-tengeren áthaladó amerikai és izraeli civil teherszállítókat és hadihajókat is.
Az USS Carney, a térségben állomásozó amerikai flotta egyik Arleigh Burke-osztályú rombolója már többször is kénytelen volt légvédelmi rakétákkal védekezni az őt, vagy az általa kísért hajót célba vevő húszi rakétákkal szemben. Erről most videót is közöltek:
Az SM-2 rakéták az amerikai haditengerészet számára kifejlesztett közepes hatótávolságú felszíni-levegő rakéták (végszükség esetén bevethetők hajók ellen is). Első variánsait az 1960-as években tesztelték, azt követően pedig folyamatos módosításokkal tartották hadrendben.
Bár a Pentagon megosztott a kérdésben, hogy az Egyesült Államoknak szükséges-e válaszcsapást mérnie az iráni rezsim által is támogatott milíciára. A jemeni–szaúdi tárgyalások kimeneteléért és a Közel-Keleten dúló konfliktus eszkalálódása miatt aggódó Biden-kormányzat határozottan elutasítja a katonai lépéseket.

Izrael arról számolt be, hogy jemeni húszi lázadók átvették az irányítást egy Nagy-Britannia tulajdonában lévő és Japán által üzemeltetett teherhajó felett a Vörös-tenger déli részén.
Az izraeli kormány az incidenst iráni terrorcselekménynek nevezte.
Az Irán-proxynak tartott jemeni húszik nagy hatótávolságú rakétákkal és drónokkal támadják Izraelt, mióta a zsidó állam hadműveleteket folytat a Gázai övezetben.
A lázadók vezetője a múlt héten bejelentette, hogy további támadásokat tervez Izrael ellen, beleértve a Vörös-tengeren és a Báb al-Mandeb-szorosban lévő izraeli hajók elleni akciókat. Egyik szóvivőjük vasárnap kijelentette, hogy minden olyan hajó, amely izraeli cégek tulajdonában van, izraeli cégek üzemeltetik, vagy izraeli zászló alatt hajózik, célpont lehet.

Az űrben lőtt le egy ballisztikus rakétát a múlt héten Izrael, ami az első harci cselekmény lehetett a világűrben. A ballisztikus rakétát Jemenből indították el az Irán által támogatott húszi lázadók, és több mint 1500 kilométert repült az Arab-félsziget felett, mielőtt lelőtték.
Noha az izraeli hadsereg (IDF) nem sok információt árult el a rakéta elfogásáról, de azt lehet tudni, hogy az ország légiereje több Arrow 2 rakétavédelmi rendszert is működtet, melyek hiperszonikus elfogórakétákkal hárítják el a támadásokat. Több mint 1,1 millió hordó nyersolaj a rakománya a lázadók által elfoglalt Hudajda kikötőjétől 60 kilométerre északnyugatra veszteglő, Safernek (Biztonságosabb) nevezett tartályhajónak.
A hajó kálváriája öt éve, a jemeni polgárháború kirobbanása óta tart. Azóta nem folyt rajta semmilyen karbantartás. A 45 éves óriás bármikor kettészakadhat, és az olaj a Vörös-tengerbe ömölhet, ahol kiirthatja az élővilágot – tudósít a BBC.
A Safer gépházába nemrég víz hatolt be, ami fokozta a hajó elsüllyedésének vagy felrobbanásának a veszélyét. A húszi lázadók ekkor jóváhagyták, hogy az ENSZ égisze alatt szerelők lépjenek a fedélzetre, de nekik is csak átmeneti javításokat sikerült eszközölniük.
Tartós megoldás nélkül a tartályhajó rakománya bármikor eláraszthatja a Vörös-tengert.
Ebben az esetben a környéken 126 ezer, halászatból élő ember veszítheti el megélhetési lehetőségeit – ezt állítja a Holm Ahdár (Zöld Álom) elnevezésű jemeni környezetvédelmi csoport.
Az olajszennyezés nyomainak eltüntetése a környezetvédő szerint legalább három évtizedet vesz igénybe. Emellett hosszú időn át akadályozhatja a világ egyik legforgalmasabb vízi útvonalának közlekedését, és a Hudajda kikötő megközelítését, amely mellesleg Jemen lakosságának kétharmadát látja el élelmiszerrel és egyéb, nélkülözhetetlen készletekkel.
Júniusban az ENSZ fújt riadót. A Biztonsági Tanács arra hívta fel a figyelmet, hogy a Safer elsüllyedése humanitárius katasztrófát von maga után nemcsak Jemenben, hanem szomszédainál is.
A brit külügy arra szólította fel a húszi lázadókat, hogy engedélyezzék legalább a kőolaj elszállítását.
A vita persze arról folyik: kit illett meg az olaj ára. A becslések szerint a szállítmány most 40 millió dollárt ér, fele annyit, mint a járvány előtt.
Az ENSZ arra tett javaslatot, hogy a bevételen a húszik és a Szaúd-Arábia által támogatott jemeni kormány osztozzon, de a lázadók ezt elvetették, és ők szeretnék egyedül értékesíteni a rakományt.
Jemenben egyébként éhínség pusztít. A 24 milliós lakosság 80%-a külföldi segélyre szorul. Két millió gyermek mélyen alultáplált.
