Egy amerikai civil szervezet három segélymunkását, valamint két biztonsági őrt raboltak el dzsihadisták az északkelet-nigériai Borno államban – jelentették be csütörtökön humanitárius szervezetek.
Bár a kedd este elhurcolt emberek állampolgárságát nem hozták nyilvánosságra, mindhárman az FHI 360 nevű észak-karolinai segélyszervezet munkatársai voltak.
A szervezet szóvivője, Christy Delafield sajtóközleményében aggodalmát fejezte ki az öt ember miatt, és azonnali, feltétel nélküli szabadon engedésüket sürgette, valamint kiemelte, hogy a segélymunkások fontos egészségügyi munkát végeznek a térségben.
Az elkövetők kilétét egyelőre nem tudni.
Északkelet-Nigériában rendkívül rossz a biztonsági helyzet: bár a hadsereg több támaszpontot tart fenn a térségben, jelentős területek állnak dzsihadista csoportok – köztük a Boko Haram és az Iszlám Állam terrorszervezet helyi ága (Iszlám Állam Nyugat-afrikai Tartomány, ISWAP) – irányítása alatt. A milíciák és a hadsereg között gyakoriak az összetűzések.

Élő adásban lőttek agyon egy emberrablásért elítélt indiai politikust és testvérét szombat este Prajágrádzs városában – írja a BBC.
A támadás akkor történt, amikor a megbilincselt Atiq Ahmedet és testvérét, Ashrafot a rendőrök orvosi vizsgálatra kísérték. A két férfi újságírók gyűrűjén haladt át, megálltak nyilatkozni a kamerás stáboknak, amikor a tömegben lövések dördültek el. Atiq Ahmedet és testvérét közelről fejbe lőtték, a helyszínen életüket vesztették.
A lövések után három, magát újságírónak álcázó férfi gyorsan megadta magát, és őrizetbe vették őket. A három feltételezett támadó motorral érkezett a helyszínre – közölte a rendőrség. Egy rendőr és egy újságíró is megsérült a helyszínen.
A szombat esti incidens után Adityanath Yogi, Uttar Prades állam főminisztere elrendelte a gyilkosságok bírósági kivizsgálását, és betiltotta a nagygyűléseket az államban.
Atiq Ahmedet és testvérét áprilisban tartóztatták le egy gyilkossági ügy koronatanújának februári meggyilkolásával összefüggésben. Ahmed 2019-ben már ült börtönben, miután elítélték emberrablásért.
Atiq Ahmed tizenéves fiát, Asadot és egy másik férfit, akit egy gyilkossági üggyel összefüggésben köröztek, a hét elején a rendőrség megölte egy rajtaütés során. Uttar Prades államban az elmúlt hat évben több mint 180, különböző vádakkal illetett embert ölt meg a rendőrség. Jogvédők azzal vádolják a rendőrséget, hogy bírósági eljárás nélküli gyilkosságbíróságokat hajtanak végre, de az állam kormánya ezt tagadja.

Fegyveresek elraboltak nyolcvanöt embert, közöttük nőket és gyermekeket a nigériai Zamfara államban – közölte Abdulmalik Saidu Maibiredi, a tartományi kormányzó szóvivője szombaton.
Az elmúlt években fegyveres bandák helyi közösségek százaira támadtak rá Nigéria északnyugati részében, míg északkeleten az iszlamista szakadár fegyveresek folytatják támadásaikat. Az északnyugati Zamfara eldugott falvaiban a bűnbandák gyakorta rabolnak el embereket váltságdíj fejében, és védelmi pénzt is szednek a falusiaktól.
Helyi lakosok arról számoltak be, hogy a mostani támadás idején a nők és a gyermekek tűzifát gyűjtöttek, amikor a fegyveresek rajtuk ütöttek, és elhurcolták őket egy közeli erdőbe. Az elrabolt gyerekek többsége 12 és 17 év közötti volt.
Az eddigi tapasztalatok szerint az emberrablók gyakran hónapokig tartják fogva áldozataikat, amíg a váltságdíj meg nem érkezik.

Három észak-kongói faluból 22 embert, köztük gyerekeket rabolt el egy fegyveres csoport – számolt be az Origo az AP News-ra hivatkozva.
Hét fegyveres, fehér katonai egyenruhába öltözött férfi támadta meg kedden a három észak-kongói falut.
A közép-afrikai országot évtizedek óta erőszak sújtja, főként keleten, ahol mintegy 120 fegyveres csoport harcol a hatalomért, befolyásért, természeti erőforrásokért vagy a saját közösségük védelméért.
A legutóbbi emberrablásokért senki sem vállalta a felelősséget, de a régió egykor egy ugandai lázadócsoportnak volt a fellegvára, amelyet a kontinens egyik leghírhedtebb szökevénye, Joseph Kony vezetett.
Bár a csoport ma már csak nagyon kevés támadást hajt végre, az incidens rávilágít arra, hogy a nem megfelelő biztonsági intézkedések teszik lehetővé, hogy ezek a csoportok fennmaradjanak.
„Ez a legutóbbi emberrablási támadás nem azt jelenti, hogy egy új lázadói offenzíva van kilátásban, hanem azt, hogy (Kongó) képtelen megvédeni polgárait a különböző fegyveres csoportok által elkövetett bűncselekményektől” – nyilatkozta az egyik helyi kockázatelemző cég munkatársa.
Az emberrablást követően a közösségek felszólították a kormányt, hogy fokozza a biztonsági intézkedéseket.

Mintegy hatvan nőt raboltak el állítólagos dzsihadisták csütörtökön és pénteken a Burkina Faso északi részén fekvő Arbindából – közölték helyi vezetők és az erőszakcselekmények által rendszeresen sújtott település több lakosa az AFP francia hírügynökséggel.
A nevük elhallgatását kérő helyi vezetők és a helyiek szerint az első mintegy negyven nőt Arbindától mintegy tíz kilométernyire délkeletre rabolták el, egy másik, körülbelül húsz fős csoportot pedig egy nappal később, a településtől északra.
A nők csoportosan indultak csütörtökön taligákkal levelet és vadon termő gyümölcsöt szedni, mert már nem volt ennivaló – mondta el az egyik lakos. Hármójuknak sikerült elmenekülni az emberrablóktól, ők mondták el, hogy mi történt.
Helyi vezetők megerősítették az emberrablás hírét. Hozzátették, hogy a hadsereg és civilek átfésülték a területet, de nem találtak az elraboltak nyomára.
Arbinda a Száhel-övezetben fekszik, dzsihadista csoportok által elzárt területen, ahol nehéz az élelmiszerellátás.
Burkina Faso – különösen az ország északi része – 2015 óta az al-Kaida és az Iszlám Állam terrorszervezettel szövetséges dzsihadista csoportok egyre gyakoribb célpontja.
A támadások során ezrek haltak meg és legalább kétmillióan menekültek el otthonukból az ország más részeibe.
Ibrahim Traoré százados, a szeptember 30-i államcsíny után hatalomra került ideiglenes elnök célul tűzte ki a „terrorista hordák által elfoglalt területek visszafoglalását”.

Fegyveres emberrablók több utast magukkal hurcoltak szombat este egy vasútállomásról Nigéria déli részén – közölte a helyi rendőrség.
A támadás Igueben városban történt. A fegyveresek a levegőbe lőttek az állomáson, a vonatra várakozó emberek közül néhányat megsebesítettek, majd többeket elraboltak. A hatóságok nem tudják, pontosan hány utast hurcoltak el a támadók.
Nigériában már korábban is követtek el hasonló emberrablásokat vasútállomásokon, de most először fordult elő ilyen incidens az ország déli részében. Tavaly a főváros, Abuja közelében rohantak meg fegyveresek egy pályaudvart, és ott hét ember meggyilkoltak, sokakat pedig elraboltak. Az erőszakcselekmények hátterében rendszerint a földműves népesség és a nomád állattartók közötti konfliktusok, a legelőterületekért folytatott küzdelmek állnak.

Murasov péntek délután autóval Enerhodarba tartott az atomerőműből, de a járőrök feltartóztatták és bekötött szemmel magukkal vitték – írta Kotyin a Telegram közösségi oldalon. További sorsáról egyelőre nincs információ. Kotyin jelezte, hogy az ügyről értesítette Rafael Grossit, a Nemzetközi Atomenergia-ügynökség (NAÜ) főigazgatóját. Azt is kérte tőle, hogy tegyen meg mindent Murasov kiszabadítása érdekében. Leszögezte, hogy Murasov viseli a fő felelősséget az erőmű nukleáris biztonságát illetően, és őrizetbe vétele veszélyezteti a létesítmény biztonságát.
A NAÜ szóvivője a Reuters hírügynökségnek azt mondta, hogy kapcsolatba léptek az orosz hatóságokkal az ügyben, felvilágosítást kérve a történtekről. Orosz részről egyelőre nem fűztek kommentárt a közlésekhez.
Oleh Szinyehubov, Harkiv régiójának kormányzója szombaton arról adott hírt, hogy Kupjanszknál orosz tüzérségi támadás ért egy konvojt, amelyben a térségből menekülők utaztak, és a támadásban húsz civil meghalt.
Szerhij Cservatij, az ukrán hadsereg szóvivője szombaton arról is beszámolt, hogy az ukrán erők teljesen bekerítették a stratégiai helyen fekvő Liman várost, és a bekerített övezetben rekedt több ezer orosz katona is. Szerhij Hajdar luhanszki kormányzó hozzátette, hogy elvágták a városnál lévő orosz erők összes utánpótlási útvonalát is.
