Szombaton felborult egy hajó Észak-Kína Hopej tartományában, ami 12 ember halálát okozta.
A szombat délután, Taolinkou település közelében történt hajóbaleset idején összesen 31 ember tartózkodott a fedélzeten. A jelentések szerint a vízi jármű egy illegálisan átalakított turistahajó volt.
Tulajdonosát és a személyzetet őrizetbe vette a rendőrség, a baleset okának kivizsgálása folyamatban van. Az English News arról írt, hogy a baleset után hat embernek is nyoma veszett, ám a hatóságok vasárnap közölték, hogy megtalálták őket épségben.
A Global Times beszámolója szerint a turisták többsége idős volt, mentőmellény nem volt rajtuk. A baleset után a helyszínre összesen 31 tűzoltóautót, 144 tűzoltót, négy mentőcsónakot és 13 gumicsónakot küldtek.
Mint írták, Taolinkou település 2008 óta népszerű turisztikai célpont. Állítólag a faluban szinte minden családnak van egy csónakja, amelyet a csúcsidőszakokban bérbe adnak a turistáknak.

A helyi hatóságok közösségi médiában megosztott közleménye szerint az uszály Fosanból Kuangcsou egyik déli kerületébe tartott, amikor helyi idő szerint hajnali fél hatkor a hídnak ütközött.
A baleset miatt több jármű lezuhant a hídról. Az incidensben ketten meghaltak, a hajón tartózkodó legénység egy tagja megsérült, két másik embert pedig kimentettek – közölte az állami média, hozzátéve, hogy további három embert még keresnek.
A hatóságok vizsgálják a baleset okát, és az áldozatokról szóló információkat még ellenőrzik – közölte a kuangcsoui tengerészeti hivatal.
Kuangcsou, mely Dél-Kína Kuangtung tartományának virágzó székhelye a Gyöngy-folyó torkolatánál, az ország egyik legforgalmasabb tengeri szállítási és kereskedelmi csomópontjánál helyezkedik el.

A brit hadsereg szóvivője megerősítette az esetet, és elmondta, hogy a baleset okát még vizsgálják.
Az incidens csütörtökön történt, amikor a HMS Chiddingfold, egy Hunt-osztályú aknamentewsítő hajó megpróbált dokkolni az öböl menti szigetállamban egy meg nem nevezett helyen. A hajó Mbandaka kikötőjéből indult a több mint 300 kilométerre található Bolombába. Szemtanúk beszámolói szerint túlzsúfolt volt és ezért borulhatott fel.
Az utasok pontos száma egyelőre nem ismert.
A Kongói Demokratikus Köztársaságban gyakoriak a folyami balesetek, különösen a Kongón. A szerencsétlenségek legfőbb oka a hajók rossz műszaki állapota, illetve túlzsúfoltságuk szokott lenni.

A helyi hatóságok és segélyszervezetek azonnali mentőakciót szerveztek, hogy megtalálják az eltűnt utasokat – mondta Salihu Garba, a helyi katasztrófavédelem vezetője.
A vízi járművek hibás működése, a túlzsúfoltság vagy a rossz időjárás miatt gyakran fordulnak elő hasonló hajóbalesetek az nyugat-afrikai országban.
Bola Tinubu nigériai elnök még szeptemberben rendelt el vizsgálatot a balesetek okainak felderítésére és a további tragédiák elkerülésére, valamint indítványozta a hajózási törvények felülvizsgálatát.

Elsüllyedt egy utasokat szállító hajó a Mianmar északi részén levő Csindvin folyón, a balesetben tizenkét ember eltűnt – közölte a mianmari junta szerda éjjel.
A hatóságok közleménye szerint a hajó legénységének három tagját, hat civil utast és a biztonsági erők három tagját tartják számon eltűntként.
Bár a hivatalos közlés eltűntekről szólt, a BBC mianmari szolgálata helyi forrásokra hivatkozva azt jelentette, hogy tizenkét holttestet meg is találtak.
A hajón mintegy száz ember utazott, amikor kedden örvénybe került és elsüllyedt Mingin városnál.
A Csindvin folyón 2016-ban 73 ember, többségében diákok és tanáraik fulladtak vízbe egy súlyos hajóbalesetben.

Kőolajszármazékot és cseppfolyósított földgázt szállító tartályhajók ütköztek össze a Szuezi-csatornában, megakasztva ezzel a globális jelentőségű vízi útvonal forgalmát – közölték az egyiptomi hatóságok szerdán.
A Szuezi-csatornaért felelős hatóság közleményben közölte, hogy a 295 méter hosszú BW Lesmes nevű, szingapúri zászló alatt közlekedő, cseppfolyósított földgázt szállító tartályhajó kedd este meghibásodott és zátonyra futott, miközben áthaladt a csatornán. Ezt követően a 250 méter hosszú Burri, a Kajmán-szigetek lobogója alatt közlekedő, kőolajszármazékot szállító tartályhajó nekiütközött a meghibásodott hajónak. A hatóság közlése szerint a szingapúri hajót sikerült elvontatni, míg a kajmán-szigeteki hajó eltávolítása jelenleg is folyamatban van.
A BW Lesmes tartályhajó üzemeltetője közleményben tudatta, hogy a legénység minden tagja biztonságban van, nem történt sérülés és nem került szennyező kőolajszármazék a vízbe.
A két tartályhajó egy konvoj része volt, amely a Földközi-tengerről a Vörös-tenger felé haladt át a csatornán.
A Szuezi-csatornát felügyelő vállalat szerdán közölte, hogy az incidens 21, dél felé tartó hajó áthaladását akadályozta.
„Azonnal elhárítottuk a meghibásodásokat és a következő órákban mindkét irányban helyreáll a forgalom” – közölte Oszama Rabej admirális, a csatornaügyi hatóság vezetője az ütközést követően.
2021 márciusában a panamai zászló alatt közlekedő Ever Given konténerszállító a csatorna egysávos szakaszán a partnak ütközött, hat napra elzárva a vízi útvonalat, ezzel teljesen megbénítva a globális kereskedelmet.
