„A veszélyeztetett állampolgárokat 41 településről kellett ideiglenesen biztonságos területekre áttelepíteni” – írta az X-en megjelent közleményében az AFAD. Hozzátették, hogy a vasárnap óta tomboló tűz az Izmir tartományban található Seferihisar megyét érintette a legsúlyosabban, melynek hat településéről 42 300 embert evakuáltak; míg Manisából 2936, Hatay tartományból pedig 1500 embert telepítettek ki, illetve 79 embert kellett rövid időre kórházba szállítaniuk.
A török sajtó hírei szerint Hatay tartomány középső részén hétfőn keletkezett erdőtűz, ami pánikot okozott a lakosság körében.
Izmir környékén vasárnap kora délután csaptak fel a lángok. A helyi kormányzó, Süleyman Elban közlése szerint a tűz az óránként 70–117 kilométeres sebességű szél miatt gyorsan terjedt át egyre nagyobb területekre.
Az AFAD adatai szerint Izmir tartományban 132 lakóház és egy kereskedelmi egység, míg az Isztambultól délnyugatra fekvő Bilecik tartományban 64 lakóház, három kereskedelmi egység és 20 istálló rongálódott meg a tűzben.

A ballon kemény leszállást próbált végrehajtani Aksaray tartományban, de a pilóta kiesett a kosárból. A lába beleakadt egy kötélbe, és beszorult a kosár alá – írta Mehmet Ali Kumbuzoglu, Aksaray kormányzója.
A hőlégballonozás népszerű turista program a közép-törökországi Kappadókia tájain. A sziklafalakba vájt ősi templomok és a magas, kúp alakú sziklaalakzatok az UNESCO Világörökség részét képezik.
Az állami Anadolu hírügynökség szerint egy másik hőlégballonnak is nehézségei támadtak a landolással vasárnap kora reggel. Az Ilhara-völgyi helyszínen 12 indiai turista szenvedett könnyebb sérüléseket, őket is kórházba szállítottak.

Egy halálos áldozata és több tucatnyi sérültje is van az 5,8-as erősségű földrengésnek, amelynek epicentruma 68 kilométer mélyen volt a tengerben egy délnyugat-törökországi tengerparti üdülőhely, Marmaris mellett – jelentette be a török belügyminiszter kedd reggel.
Ali Yerlikaya közlése szerint egy 14 éves lány halt meg, aki a keddi földrengés miatt súlyos pánikrohamot kapott, és a kórházban elhunyt.
Hatvankilenc ember akkor sérült meg, mikor „pánikszerűen leugrottak a magasból”, vagyis kiugráltak az épületekből a földrengéstől megrémülve – tette hozzá a miniszter, akinek beszámolója szerint lakóépületek nem semmisültek meg.
A helyi hatóságok szerint folyik az esetleges károk felmérése.
Mugla tartományban számos tengerparti üdülőhely, köztük Marmaris, Fethiye és Bodrum található, ahol az Anadolu állami ügynökség szerint tavaly 3,7 millió külföldi turista fordult meg.

Letartóztatási parancsot adott ki a török ügyészség pénteken a fegyveres erők 63 aktív szolgálatban levő alkalmazottja ellen, akiket azzal gyanúsítanak, hogy közük volt a 2016-os puccskísérlethez, amelyet Ankara szerint Fethullah Gülen hitszónok tervelt ki – írja az MTI.
Az isztambuli főügyész hivatalának tájékoztatása szerint a gyanúsítottak a hadsereg, a haditengerészet a légierő és a csendőrség kötelékében állnak, és négy ezredes is érintett. A kora reggel végrehajtott razziák során 56 embert már őrizetbe is vettek.
Az ügyészség szerint ezek az emberek kapcsolatban állnak a tavaly az Egyesült Államokban elhunyt Fethullah Gülen török muzulmán hitszónok mozgalmával (FETÖ), amelyet Törökországban terrorszervezetként tartanak számon.
Gülen 1999 óta élt emigrációban az Egyesült Államokban. Hajdan Recep Tayyip Erdogan török elnök szövetségese volt, de egy ponton látványosan szakítottak, és Erdogan őt tette felelőssé a 2016. július 15-i államcsínykísérletért, amelynek során mintegy 290 ember vesztette életét. A török hatóságok ezután keményen felléptek a Gülen-mozgalom tagjaival szemben, több tízezer embert tartóztattak le a puccskísérletben való feltételezett érintettségük miatt.
Gülen támogatói közül 130 ezer embert bocsátottak el az állami hivatalokból, valamint több mint 20 ezer embert távolítottak el a hadseregből.
A török hatóságok 2017-ben megfosztották állampolgárságától Gülent, aki boszorkányüldözésnek nevezte az ellene és mozgalma ellen indított széles körű kampányt. A pénteki hatósági intézkedések célkeresztjébe került gyanúsítottakat telefonbeszélgetések alapján azonosították – derült ki az ügyészség közleményéből, amelyben azt is hangsúlyozták, hogy a FETÖ jelenti továbbra is a legnagyobb fenyegetést Törökország alkotmányos rendjére és túlélésére.

Több mint ötszáz kábítószer-kereskedelemmel gyanúsítható személyt tartóztatott le a török rendőrség Ankarában csütörtök hajnalban. A hatóságok szerint ez volt az ország történetének legnagyobb akciója a kábítószer-kereskedelem ellen. Az összehangolt műveletben több ezer rendőr, drogkereső kutya, drón és helikopter vett részt. Több mint 625 helyszínen razziáztak, 525 feltételezett dílert tartóztattak le.
Fél éven át figyelték a gyanúsítottakat, hogy letartóztatásukkor elegendő bizonyíték legyen az ellenük indított jogi eljárásban. A török belügyminisztérium közölte, hogy a razziák folytatódnak, már a következő napokban.
A törökországi műveleteket egy nagyszabású, európai szintű akciósorozattal hangolták össze, amit a nemzetközi kábítószer-kereskedelmi és pénzmosási hálózatok leleplezéséért indítottak. Európa több országában 230 embert tartóztatott le és 400 millió dollárnyi vagyont foglalt le az EUROPOL, a holland, a belga, a német, a spanyol és a török rendőrséggel közösen.

Törökország elutasította a nemzetközi kritikát Isztambul polgármesterének, Ekrem İmamoğlu letartóztatása és az országban kirobbant tömegtüntetések kapcsán. Törökország belügyminisztere, Ali Yerlikaya szerint a tüntetések kezdete óta 1879 személyt vettek őrizetbe. Ebből 260 személyt előzetes letartóztatásba helyeztek, 489-et szabadon engedtek, míg 662 személy még mindig őrizetben van. A rendőrök közül 150-en sérültek meg.

Őrizetbe vettek egy terrorizmussal gyanúsított svéd újságírót Törökországban – közölte pénteken az ankarai főügyészség hivatala.
A tájékoztatás szerint Kaj Joakim Medint egy 2023 januárjában történt stockholmi tüntetéssel kapcsolatban indított vizsgálat keretében vették őrizetbe Isztambulban. A terrorszervezetnek nyilvánított Kurdisztáni Munkáspárt (PKK) szimpatizánsai akkor egy olyan bábut lógattak fel Stockholmban egy lámpaoszlopra, amely Recep Tayyip Erdogan török elnököt jelképezte.
A török hatóságok szerint Medin azon 15 gyanúsított egyike, akit sikerült azonosítani a 2023-as tüntetéshez, illetve annak szervezéséhez vagy népszerűsítéséhez köthetően.
Medint az elnök megsértése mellett terrorszervezeti tagsággal vádolják. A török hatóságok egyben Medin a szíriai, iraki és a délkelet-törökországi térségekből 2014 és 2017 között végzett tudósításaira is hivatkoztak.
A svéd újságíró munkáltatója a Dagens ETC. Andreas Gustavsson, a hírportál főszerkesztője a svéd TV4 televíziónak elmondta, hogy Medin nem követett el semmi szabálytalanságot, mindössze azért büntetik, mert riporterként a munkáját végezte.
Maria Malmer Stenergard svéd külügyminiszter az SVT közszolgálati műsorszolgáltatónak elmondta, hogy Svédország felkérte Törökország stockholmi nagykövetét, hogy pontosítsa a Medin ellen felhozott vádakat és a férfi hozzáférését követelték a svéd konzuli szolgáltatásokhoz.

Törökországban továbbra is folyik a nyomozás a Kartalkaya síparadicsomban történt tűz okainak kivizsgálása ügyében, ahol 78 ember vesztette életét. A hatóságok újabb 10 személyt vettek őrizetbe. Erről a Sabah című lap számolt be.
Összesen 10 gyanúsítottat vettek őrizetbe, köztük a letartóztatott szállodatulajdonos, Halit Ergül feleségét, aki a vállalat igazgatótanácsának tagja, valamint két lányát.
A letartóztatások a Bolu tartományi Főügyészség utasítására történtek.
A letartóztatottak között van továbbá az építőmérnök, aki a szálloda építése során a számításokat végezte, munkavédelmi szakemberek és más személyek is.
