Az Állami Nyomozó Iroda (DBR) az egyik kijevi állami egyetemen mozgósítás alóli felmentést biztosítottak álkutatóknak, akik formálisan egy kreatív csapat tagjai voltak, amely drónok tervezésével foglalkozott, a „tudósok” között volt agronómus, fogorvos és benzinkutas – számolt be hétfőn az LB.ua hírportál a DBR közlésére hivatkozva.
A jelentés szerint két üzletember és egy oktatási intézmény tisztviselője vett részt a machinációban. A csoport tagjai olyan hadköteles férfiakat kerestek, akik el akarták kerülni a mozgósítást, és egyetemi kutatóként toborozták őket. Formálisan egy kreatív csapat tagjai voltak, amely egy pilóta nélküli légi járművek létrehozására irányuló projekten dolgozott. Valójában ezek az emberek semmilyen kutatást nem végeztek. A „tudósok” között volt agronómus, fogorvos, benzinkutas és más olyan személyek, akiknek semmi közük nem volt a tudományos tevékenységhez.
A projektben részt vevők hat hónap alatt legalább 14 embernek segítettek elkerülni a mozgósítást. A szolgáltatásaik ára személyenként 1500 és 4000 amerikai dollár között mozgott. Jelenleg négy személyt gyanúsítottak meg hivatalos okirat-hamisítás és egyetemi pénzek csoportosan elkövetett sikkasztásával hadiállapot idején. A vonatkozó büntetőtörvény-cikkely szankciója 12 évig terjedő szabadságvesztést is előír vagyonelkobzással.

Az öngyilkosságot elkövetett kadét az egyetem második évfolyamán tanult. A közösségi oldalakon arról számoltak be, hogy a diák egy AKSZ-74U gépkarabéllyal végzett magával, miközben őrhelyen teljesített szolgálatot.
