Tisztázta hétfőn a thaiföldi legfelsőbb bíróság a gondatlanság vádja alól Jinglak Sinavatra korábbi thaiföldi miniszterelnököt – közölte a nő ügyvédje és a helyi média.
Jinglak, aki a befolyásos Sinavatra család tagja, hat éve külföldön él, hogy elkerülje az ötéves börtönbüntetést, amelyre távollétében hatalommal való visszaélés és gondatlanság miatt ítélték a 2014-ben kormánya ellen indított katonai puccsot követően.
Még 2022-ben az országos korrupcióellenes bizottság panaszt emelt ellene, így a hatóságok eljárást indítottak Sinavatra és másik négy személy ellen, mert a vádak szerint hatalmas veszteséget okoztak az országnak, amikor nem követték a hivatalos közbeszerzési eljárást egy 250 millió baht értékű állami szerződés odaítélésekor.
A bíróság egyhangú döntése alapján azért ejtették a vádakat, mert Jinglak és a társai törvényszerűen jártak el, és nem származott előnyük a pályázatból – közölte Noppadon Laothong ügyvéd a Reuters hírügynökséggel.
A bíróság egyelőre nem adott ki hivatalos közleményt az üggyel kapcsolatban.
A szintén vagyonos és befolyásos Thakszin Sinavatra ugyancsak volt kormányfőt, Jinglak testvérét nemrégiben szabadlábra helyezték.

A kelet-pakisztáni Pandzsáb állam hatóságai azt közölték, a tiltakozások nyomán csaknem 1000 embert vettek őrizetbe, köztük az ország volt pénzügyminiszterét, Aszad Umárt is. A Geo TV nevű pakisztáni hírtelevízió mindeközben azt közölte, hogy letartóztatták Mahmúd Sah Kuresit, a korábbi pénzügyminisztert.
A bíróság azt közölte, hogy a kedden őrizetbe vett Imran Hánt nyolcnapos előzetes letartóztatásba helyzeték, a volt kormányfő egyik ügyvédje, Ali Buhári pedig máris jelezte, hogy nyilvános kihallgatást kérnek.
A The Guardian brit napilap helyi kórházi adatokra hivatkozva írta, hogy a több nagyvárosra kiterjedő demonstrációk során legalább négy tiltakozót lelőttek, 27 ember megsebesült, Pandzsábban pedig mozgósították a hadsereget. Pandzsáb hatóságai szerint Hán támogatói a többi között autógumikat égettek, több középületet kifosztottak, és az erőszakcselekményekben 130 rendőr is megsebesült.
Az államban szerdán zárva tartottak az iskolák és az egyetemek is, a pakisztáni távközlési hatóság pedig országszerte blokkolta a közösségi oldalakat, köztük a Twittert, valamint leállította az internetszolgáltatást több térségben, köztük a fővárosban, Iszlámábádban is. Katonai források szerint a tiltakozók megrohamoztak egy támaszpontot Ravalpindiben, ám nem sikerült behatolniuk a létesítménybe.
A Hán vezette Pakisztáni Igazságosság Pártja (Tehrík-i-Inszáf) nyugalomra intette a tiltakozókat, a felszólításhoz pedig Mahmúd Sah Kuresi is csatlakozott, aki a köztulajdon rongálásától óvott. Imran Hánt kedden vették őrizetbe az iszlámábádi legfelsőbb bíróságon, ahová egy kihallgatásra érkezett. A politikus ellen februárban adtak ki elfogatóparancsot a többi között pénzmosás és értékes állami ajándékok eltulajdonításának vádjával.
Hánt tavaly áprilisban bizalmatlansági szavazással távolították el a miniszterelnöki posztról, amiről ő azt állítja, hogy egy amerikai összeesküvés eredményeképpen a hadsereg részvételével végrehajtott akció volt. Azóta több országos tüntetést szervezett, és előrehozott választások kiírását követeli, az ellene szóló vádakat pedig többször politikailag motiváltnak nevezte.

Egy csoport korábbi tisztségviselő meg akarta meggyilkolni Nikol Pasinján örmény miniszterelnököt, és át akarta venni a hatalmat az országban, de tervüket sikerült megakadályozni – közölte az örmény nemzetbiztonsági szolgálat.
Pasinján távozását tüntetők ezrei követelik a hegyi-karabahi konfliktust lezáró megállapodás aláírása miatt. Az egyezmény jelentős területi engedményeket tesz Azerbajdzsánnak Hegyi-Karabahban.
A nemzetbiztonsági szolgálat közölte, hogy letartóztatták Artur Vanecján korábbi nemzetbiztonsági vezetőt, Vahram Bagdaszarjánt, Örményország Köztársasági Pártjának frakcióvezetőjét, illetve Asot Minaszján háborús önkéntest.
Az elfogottakat azzal gyanúsítják, hogy meg akarták gyilkolni a kormányfőt, és át akarták venni a hatalmat az országban. A hat hete tartó hegyi-karabahi konfliktust lezáró megállapodás értelmében Jereván november 15-ig átadja a kelabdzsari régiót Bakunak. November 20-ig az agdami régiót és a gazahi régió megszállt területeit, december 1-jéig pedig a lacsini régiót kell visszaszolgáltatnia, az Örményországot Hegyi-Karabahhal összekötő folyosó kivételével. A Hegyi-Karabahból kivonuló örmény csapatok helyét orosz békefenntartók veszik át a frontvonal és a korridor mentén.
Pasinján a hét elején azt mondta: nem volt más választása, alá kellett írnia az egyezményt a további területi veszteségek elkerülése érdekében. Az örmény kormányfő leszögezte: személyes felelősséget vállal a veszteségekért, de nem hajlandó lemondani.
Azerbajdzsán és Örményország, a két egymással szomszédos korábbi szovjetköztársaság között a Hegyi-Karabah hovatartozása fölötti vita miatt törtek ki ismét a fegyveres harcok szeptember 27-én. A túlnyomórészt örmények lakta Hegyi-Karabah 1996-ban kikiáltotta függetlenségét, de ezt egyetlen ország, még Örményország sem ismerte el. Azerbajdzsán továbbra is saját területének tekinti a hegyi-karabahi enklávét, ahogy lényegében Örményország is.
